Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Experience with pediatric care, preferably within a school setting
• Proficient in respiratory monitoring and g-tube care
• Comfortable working 1:1 with medically complex students
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing care for a 5th grade female student who is non-verbal, nearly blind, and requires g-tube feeding and respiratory monitoring
• Collaborate with school staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a safe, inclusive classroom experience
• Monitor, assess, and document the student’s daily health status
• Provide interventions during emergencies and maintain clear communication with parents and care teams
• Advocate for the student’s needs while promoting their independence and safety
