School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Saint Charles, Minnesota

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state
• Previous experience as a School RN or in a school-based clinical role preferred
• Strong assessment and triage skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, parents, and staff
• Comfortable maintaining accurate electronic health records and confidential documentation
• Willingness to handle diverse student health needs, including chronic disease management, medication administration, health screenings, and emergency response

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and address daily health concerns, injuries, and illnesses among students and staff
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established school guidelines
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes)
• Conduct health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, and maintain up-to-date immunization records
• Act as a health resource for staff, providing education and guidance on wellness and safety topics
• Respond swiftly and effectively to health emergencies
• Participate in educational meetings and collaborate with educators and counselors to support student success
