School Registered Nurse | Salinas, California

This full-time, school-year contract offers the opportunity to work across multiple school sites—including preschools and rural campuses—serving diverse communities within surrounding counties. You’ll travel between various schools to ensure access to quality health care for pre-K students and play an essential role in promoting a safe, supportive educational environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active California RN license required
• Valid CTC School Nurse Services Credential (CSN) is mandatory
• Certificate in audiometry for conducting vision and hearing screenings
• Previous school-based nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to travel between locations throughout the week
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Compassion and commitment to working with young children in educational settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct health screenings—including vision and hearing assessments—for pre-K students
• Address daily health needs, manage medication administration, and respond to medical emergencies across assigned school sites
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop individualized health plans
• Provide health education to students, staff, and parents as needed
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district regulations
• Serve as a resource for students and staff regarding health, hygiene, and wellness practices
• Travel regularly between assigned school districts
