Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Active California RN license (unencumbered)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Prior experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and make sound clinical decisions in a school environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage student health needs, administering medications and providing first aid as required
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or special needs
- Serve as a resource on health matters, promoting wellness and health education in the school community
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations and protocols
- Respond promptly to health emergencies, acting as an advocate for student safety and care
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students’ physical and emotional well-being
