School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - San Jose, California

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Current RN license in California (or eligibility for licensure)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Prior experience in pediatric, school, or public health nursing strongly desired
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong problem-solving abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and address student and staff health needs throughout the school day
• Administer medications, provide first aid, and manage chronic conditions
• Collaborate with educators and parents to create and implement care plans
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations
• Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
• Lead or support health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
• Respond promptly to health emergencies as needed
