Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and active RN license in California
- Experience in pediatrics or school-based nursing preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of state health regulations and school procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and decisive in emergencies
- CPR and First Aid certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for students with acute and chronic health concerns
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student health and well-being
- Conduct health screenings and immunization tracking
- Deliver health education sessions to students and staff
- Respond quickly to medical needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all
