Registered Nurse School Setting - San Jose, CA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and active RN license in California
• Experience in pediatrics or school-based nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of state health regulations and school procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and decisive in emergencies
• CPR and First Aid certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for students with acute and chronic health concerns
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student health and well-being
• Conduct health screenings and immunization tracking
• Deliver health education sessions to students and staff
• Respond quickly to medical needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all
