School Registered Nurse (RN) in San Juan Bautista, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with California state credentials required
• School Nurse Credential (would need to be a credentialed School Nurse)
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desired
• Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage individualized student health plans and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Proficiency with health screenings, recordkeeping, and compliance with state immunization requirements
• Compassionate, professional approach with students, staff, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care and first aid to students and staff
• Manage medications, chronic conditions, and emergency situations on campus
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) in accordance with state guidelines
• Support IEP/504 teams with health-related information and recommendations
• Serve as a health resource for families and educational teams
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school policies
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment through education and advocacy
