Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Previous experience within a school setting or as a school nurse is highly preferred
• Proficiency and confidence in seizure management and related protocols
• Experience providing 1:1 nursing care, ideally with pediatric populations
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and families
• Willingness to ride the school bus with the student to ensure safety and continuity of care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to an elementary student during the entire school day, including on school transportation
• Monitor and respond promptly to health needs and emergencies—especially seizure activity
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate health records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support the student’s educational and health goals
• Foster a supportive, safe, and welcoming environment for the student at school and during transportation
