Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in California required
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Compassionate communicator, able to connect and collaborate with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt swiftly to changing health needs throughout the school day
• Flexibility and reliability to manage routine and emergent student health concerns

Responsibilities:

• Assess and provide care for students facing illness or injury during school hours
• Administer medication and manage chronic health conditions per physician orders
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health care plans
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and determine the need for further medical attention
• Maintain clear, confidential health records for students
• Deliver health education and wellness programs to promote overall student well-being
• Serve as an essential liaison between the school, families, and outside healthcare providers
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings regarding student health needs
