School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Scarborough, Maine

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Maine (or compact-state eligibility)
• Experience in school health, pediatric, or community health nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and care coordination skills
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, students, and families
• Clear communication and documentation abilities
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate and effective nursing care to students during ESY programming
• Provide medication administration and health interventions as prescribed
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate student needs to staff and parents
• Respond to medical emergencies and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs)
• Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and wellness topics
• Adhere to confidentiality and all school/district policies

This contract position offers you a consistent weekday schedule, with Monday-Thursday hours of 8:30am to 2:30pm and Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm, for a total of 28 hours per week during the summer months.
