Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young people
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently to various health situations and emergencies
• Organization and attention to detail in maintaining health records and care plans
• Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative spirit

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer first aid, medication, and care for students with acute and chronic conditions
• Conduct routine health screenings and communicate findings appropriately
• Develop and oversee individualized health plans for students as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for the student population
• Advise and educate students, families, and staff on best health and hygiene practices
• Serve as a liaison between families, school professionals, and healthcare providers
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations
