Registered Nurse School Setting - Schertz, TX

This contract opportunity requires either a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential care during select dates throughout the academic year. Working hours are from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm—offering a flexible schedule perfect for professionals who value work-life balance.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active RN or LVN license valid in Texas
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or community health environment preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies
• Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team
• CPR and First Aid certification

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily health care to students, including assessments and interventions for both acute and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and monitor treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
• Communicate health-related information to students, parents, and faculty as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students seen
• Support the educational team by providing guidance regarding student health and wellness
