School Nurse | RN

Soliant is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a supportive school district near Sebastopol, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working with children and wants to play an essential role in promoting student health, safety, and academic success.

As a School RN, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to ensure students receive the medical support they need to thrive throughout the school day.

Position Details

• Full-time, school-based opportunity
• Onsite near Sebastopol, CA
• 2026–2027 school year
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Caseload determined based on district needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
• Develop and maintain Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs)
• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, seizure disorders, asthma, and severe allergies
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate follow-up care
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with school administrators, special education teams, families, and outside healthcare providers
• Promote wellness through health education and preventative care initiatives

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Previous pediatric, school nursing, or public health experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
