Step into a rewarding contract position supporting high school students as a classroom nurse from February 19th through May 21st. Located in the Anderson, South Carolina area, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in an educational setting, working closely with two students who have unique healthcare needs.

You will collaborate on-site with educators and support staff, ensuring the well-being and safety of your students every school day. This is an excellent environment for an RN seeking to demonstrate their clinical skills in a school-based setting, particularly those with experience caring for individuals who use wheelchairs, G-tubes, or ventilators.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and valid RN license required
  • Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or adolescent health setting is a plus
  • Certified in basic life support (BLS)
  • Familiarity with G-tube care is preferred
  • Ventilator care experience strongly desired
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability are essential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care for two high school students, one of whom utilizes a wheelchair
  • Monitor and manage G-tube feedings and medical equipment as needed
  • Observe and respond to changes in student health conditions promptly
  • Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district regulations
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff for safe inclusion and academic participation
  • Deliver health education and emergency intervention as required
