School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Shawnee, Kansas

Two nursing positions are available: one dedicated to 1:1 care for a student with tracheostomy and ventilator needs, and another providing support as a classroom nurse. Both roles are set in an elementary school environment near Shawnee, KS.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license—required to submit copy upon application
• Active BLS certification
• Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is highly desirable
• For the 1:1 nurse: Previous trach and vent care experience is mandatory
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
• Effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Ability to maintain detailed records and compliance with health regulations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including specialized support for trach/vent-dependent child (for 1:1 role)
• Serve as a compassionate and knowledgeable clinical resource within the classroom
• Administer medications and manage health care plans, collaborating with educational staff for holistic student support
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and communicate effectively with parents and school personnel
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all medical and educational policies
