This contract opportunity near Simi Valley, CA is ideal for a Credentialed School Nurse (RN) who is compassionate and adaptable, with experience in schools and a commitment to delivering high-quality care across multiple sites.

You will work directly with both medically complex students enrolled in ESY at a dedicated campus, and general education students attending various summer programs. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure students’ well-being and facilitate a safe learning environment during their summer sessions.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Credentialed School Nurse certification (required).
• Previous experience as an RN in a school environment preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to different sites and varying student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to medically complex and general education students across multiple campus locations.
• Administer medications, manage health plans, and respond to health emergencies.
• Document health information and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families.
• Work scheduled dates between 7 am – 2 pm for both ESY (June 11, 26, 29; July 6, 7, 13, 14) and General Education (July 20, 24, 27, 29) sessions.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment while collaborating with school teams.
