School Registered Nurse (RN) in Smith, NV

Step into an important, rewarding role as a school nurse supporting student health across multiple campuses. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a direct impact as you travel between elementary and secondary school sites, building relationships and ensuring children and adolescents have access to quality healthcare services.

Your schedule will follow the school year calendar from August 4, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Work hours vary slightly by school: Elementary locations operate Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–3:15 pm; secondary school hours are 7:30 am–2:15 pm, providing you with a balanced and consistent routine.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid RN license and compliance with the Nurse Practice Act
• Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage time and prioritize when traveling to different sites
• CPR and First Aid certifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and emergency healthcare for students and staff
• Perform screenings (height, weight, vision, hearing, scoliosis) and refer students as needed
• Track, verify, and monitor immunization records and communicable diseases
• Administer medications per physician and parental authorization, ensuring safety protocols are met
• Respond swiftly to acute/urgent health issues, providing emergency care when necessary
• Order and maintain necessary medical office supplies for multiple campus locations
