Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN license and nurse certification required
- Demonstrated school-based nursing experience
- Reliable transportation to and from the designated school site
- Ability to work the stated hours onsite: Fridays, 8:30am–3pm, without schedule accommodations
- Comfortable working with students requiring mobility assistance (wheelchair use/ambulation support)
- Experience or strong knowledge caring for individuals with Diabetes Insipidus preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as a 1:1 nurse for a high school student attending a specialty school
- Monitor and manage fluid intake and output, ensuring adherence to health protocols for Diabetes Insipidus
- Assist with restroom needs, providing mobility support as necessary while respecting student independence
- Administer prescribed noon medication and closely watch for symptoms of sodium imbalance
- Communicate clearly with school personnel and the student’s care team
