School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Somonauk, Illinois

A healthcare professional is sought to provide dedicated nursing support to a 4-year-old student within an elementary school setting in Somonauk, IL. This contract position runs through the current school year (CSY) and involves one-on-one care tailored to meet the individual needs of the student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive nursing care including tracheostomy maintenance and monitoring
• Assist with feeding and toileting as required to ensure comfort and safety
• Support the student during school hours from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM
• Accompany the student on the bus to and from school, ensuring continuous care throughout transit

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential required
• Proven experience with tracheostomy care, demonstrating competency and confidence in this specialized area
• Ability to manage feeding and toileting needs sensitively and professionally
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with school staff and family
