This full-time contract assignment runs Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 2:30pm, allowing for an ideal work-life balance and the chance to make a positive impact each day.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Current and valid RN license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
  • Strong assessment, triage, and care coordination abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trust with students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, essential within school communities
  • Knowledge of relevant state health regulations, student immunization requirements, and emergency procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer first aid and routine care to students and staff during school hours
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with chronic conditions
  • Dispense and manage medications as needed, ensuring compliance with all legal and district guidelines
  • Maintain accurate health records in accordance with privacy laws
  • Serve as a health resource for teachers, staff, and parents, fostering a safe and supportive environment
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies
