School Registered Nurse (RN) in Spokane, WA

As a contract Registered Nurse working with school-aged children, you’ll ensure student health needs are met, collaborate with educators, and deliver compassionate care in a vibrant learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington (or compact state eligibility)
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or public health nursing setting preferred
• Ability to assess, triage, and manage acute and chronic health conditions in children and adolescents
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Knowledge of healthcare protocols, emergency response, and individualized care plans for students with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, or seizure disorders

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine health screenings, first aid, and administer medications as prescribed
• Monitor and document student health status and interventions
• Deliver care in line with individualized health plans and IEP requirements
• Educate students, families, and staff on wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all safety, legal, and district policies
• Serve as a health resource and advocate for students, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and families
