Key Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly valued
- Strong assessment, triage, and care planning skills
- Confident communicator who collaborates effectively with teachers, parents, and diverse student populations
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy standards
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid and medical care to students as needed
- Manage student health plans, including chronic condition monitoring (diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc.)
- Dispense medications and maintain accurate records
- Conduct health screenings and assist with immunization compliance
- Educate students, staff, and families on health promotion and disease prevention
- Serve as a health resource and advocate within the school community
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
