A healthcare opportunity is available for two Registered Nurses (RN) to serve within the K-12 school setting in Alaska. These full-time contract positions are ideal for experienced school nurses who are passionate about student health and wellness. The contract spans from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY).

Locations and Assignment Details:

• Position 1: Based at an elementary school in the Central Kenai/Soldotna area, providing direct nursing support to younger students.
• Position 2: Itinerant role based in Homer, AK, covering multiple schools including one elementary school, three K-12 schools, and one middle school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students to support their health and educational success.
• Manage health plans, emergency care, and medication administration.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with school district health policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Previous experience working as a school nurse is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple school sites (for the itinerant position).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to child and adolescent health.
