Key Qualities and Desired Background:

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Experience delivering 1:1 pediatric nursing care, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
  • Familiarity with supporting students from 1st to 5th grade and 9th to 10th grade
  • Ability to assess, monitor, and support children with diverse medical needs during the school day
  • Proficiency in care plan development and implementation in coordination with educators and families
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability, compassion, and strong organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized clinical care to assigned student(s) during school hours
  • Monitor health status and manage interventions as outlined in the care plan
  • Administer prescribed medications, track treatments, and respond to medical emergencies
  • Document daily nursing activities and communicate updates with families and school staff as required
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and administrators regarding students' health needs in the school setting
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that prioritizes student well-being and success
