Registered Nurse School Setting - Sugar Land, TX

Step into a vital role supporting student health at a high school in the southwest Houston area. This full-time contract opportunity calls for a licensed RN or LVN seeking meaningful work within an educational setting. You’ll provide direct care as a classroom nurse, primarily assisting three high school students among a specialized classroom group, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active TX RN or LVN license is required
• Must pass a state fingerprint background check
• Prior experience in schools or pediatric care preferred
• Professionalism, compassion, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
• Ability to assist with feeding, toileting, and transferring students with physical needs
• Please note: Candidates who are former employees or were terminated from a Texas school district are ineligible for this position

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offer attentive nursing care to assigned high school students within the classroom, including support for daily living activities
• Maintain thorough documentation of care provided and promptly address health concerns
• Coordinate with staff to ensure a safe and accessible learning atmosphere
• Adhere to all district and state health protocols, including timely completion of required fingerprinting and affidavits
• Communicate effectively with students, school personnel, and families as appropriate

Full-time hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar through late May 2027. This on-site role provides a structured schedule and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ daily lives.
