A high school in Sumter, SC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care during the school year on a contract basis. This role involves supporting a student with medical needs and accompanying them on daily bus rides to a technical center, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to a student with complex medical needs.
• Manage tracheostomy care and demonstrate competency in trach procedures.
• Administer and support feeding via G-tube (experience considered a plus).
• Accompany the student on mid-day bus transportation to and from the technical center.
• Start and end the school day at the high school, maintaining communication with school staff and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate health records and respond promptly to medical emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Experience with tracheostomy care is required.
• G-tube care experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex care in a school setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Working Hours and Duration:

• Contract position for the current school year.
