A school-based nursing professional (LPN or RN) is needed for a 1:1 substitute nurse role at a middle school location in Swanzey, NH. This contract position covers specific dates throughout the school year, providing critical health support to a student requiring specialized care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 nursing support to a student during school hours
  • Monitoring residual and delay bolus feedings administered via pump and G-tube
  • Observing heart rate and oxygen saturation as needed
  • Performing oral and nasal suctioning along with mouth wound care when necessary
  • Collaborating with school staff to ensure the student’s health needs are met throughout the school day

Required qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential meeting school nursing standards
  • Experience or comfort with medical feedings, suctioning procedures, and monitoring vital signs in a school setting
  • Ability to maintain professional communication with students, staff, and families
  • Reliable availability on the following dates and times:
    • Feb 2: 7:00–8:30 a.m. (flexible for up to half-day)
    • Feb 14, 15, 16: 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
    • March 13: 11:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
    • March 16: 7:00–8:30 a.m. (flexible for up to half-day)
    • March 25, 26, 27: 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
    • March 30, 31: 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
    • May 6, 7: 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
    • May 12, 13, 14: 7:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
