School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Tacoma, Washington

Deliver essential nursing care in educational settings as a Registered Nurse, supporting student health and wellbeing in a high school and preschool environment. This contract position offers 32.5 hours per week, providing a dynamic schedule split between a preschool health room and one-on-one student support at a high school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students in a preschool health room on Mondays and Wednesdays.
• Deliver one-on-one health support and care for a student at a high school on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
• Monitor and manage student health conditions, administer medications, and maintain accurate health records.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support individualized health plans.
• Respond effectively to health emergencies and communicate with parents and healthcare providers as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
• Previous 1:1 nursing experience preferred, demonstrating ability to provide focused care.
• Strong knowledge of school nursing practices and child health care.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a school setting.
• Ability to manage multiple health care tasks and maintain confidentiality.

Location: Tacoma, WA (worksites include a preschool health room and a high school)
