Registered Nurse School Setting - Tacoma, WA

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Washington state (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or community health setting is highly valued
• Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain accurate student health records and manage emergency situations
• Organized, flexible, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and healthcare providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and emergency response
• Assess student health needs, create care plans, and provide chronic condition management
• Serve as a healthcare resource for students, teachers, and families
• Conduct health screenings, immunization reviews, and documentation in compliance with state requirements
• Support student wellness initiatives and promote a healthy school climate
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold nursing ethics and best practices
