Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Washington State (or eligibility for licensure)
- Prior nursing experience, preferably with pediatric, school, or community health populations
- BLS/CPR certification (current)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Demonstrated adaptability and organizational skills
- Commitment to student health, confidentiality, and advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess student health needs and provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, first aid, and management of chronic health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with medical needs
- Respond to medical emergencies, collaborating with school staff, families, and outside providers as needed
- Promote and support public health initiatives, including immunizations and health screenings
- Maintain detailed health records in line with regulatory requirements
- Educate students and staff on health topics, hygiene, and prevention strategies
- Serve as a resource for teachers and administrators regarding health protocols and emergency preparedness
