What you’ll need to succeed:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential
• Previous experience working with school-aged children or within educational environments is highly preferred
• Thorough understanding of state and federal school health regulations
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and record-keeping abilities
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of assignments and school sites

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and urgent care to students, including administering medications, first aid, and responding to medical emergencies
• Implement individualized health care plans, including monitoring chronic conditions (such as diabetes or asthma)
• Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and maintain accurate health records
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and students on health matters, disease prevention, and wellness promotion
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student health needs and concerns
• Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe and healthy environment for all students
