This full-time contracted position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential nursing services within a K-12 special education district. The role is itinerant, requiring travel between multiple school sites, including locations in Maywood and Lodi, NJ, ensuring comprehensive healthcare support across the district. The contract term extends through June 23, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver general school nurse duties as a District Float RN, supporting students’ health needs.
- Administer medications and perform other nursing interventions as required.
- Occasionally accompany students on field trips, providing medical care during transportation.
- Coordinate closely with school staff to maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
- Participate in in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a current and valid RN license; LPNs are not eligible for this role.
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
- Comfortable with onsite work and traveling between campuses daily.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Willingness to assist in diverse school environments and attend field trips when needed.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite with travel between Maywood and Lodi campuses in New Jersey.
- Work schedule Monday through Friday with hours as follows:
- Maywood Campus: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM
- Lodi Campus: 8:00 AM to 2:45 PM
- Full-time at approximately 31.25 hours per week.
