School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Tinley Park, Illinois

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of Illinois
• Previous experience in school nursing or working as a registered nurse with children or adolescents is highly preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical skills relevant to a school population
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Organized with excellent time-management abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, health screenings, and emergency response as needed
• Assess and monitor student health conditions, providing appropriate interventions or referrals
• Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans and accommodations
• Maintain and update accurate health records in accordance with local and state guidelines
• Provide education to students and staff on health topics, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Respond to illness or injury and implement protocols for communicable diseases
• Support compliance with immunization and health requirements
