Qualifications:
- Valid RN license in the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in school nursing or working as a registered nurse with children or adolescents is highly preferred
- Strong assessment and clinical skills relevant to a school population
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Organized with excellent time-management abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, health screenings, and emergency response as needed
- Assess and monitor student health conditions, providing appropriate interventions or referrals
- Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health plans and accommodations
- Maintain and update accurate health records in accordance with local and state guidelines
- Provide education to students and staff on health topics, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Respond to illness or injury and implement protocols for communicable diseases
- Support compliance with immunization and health requirements
