In this vital role, you will manage the daily operations of the elementary health room, caring for students’ immediate needs and promoting overall wellness in the school. You’ll collaborate with an advisory team for support, but independence and confidence as the sole nurse onsite are key.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN or CSN license issued by the State of New Jersey
• Demonstrated experience as an RN, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Previous use of the Genesis charting system is highly valued
• Ability to efficiently prioritize and manage the health room as the only onsite nurse
• Strong communication skills and a caring, dependable demeanor

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for student illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in Genesis
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
• Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families
• Assist with public health processes and compliance, including screenings and immunizations
• Communicate clearly with school administration and the advisory team
