School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Trenton, New Jersey

This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 school year (September 3, 2026 – June 23, 2027), offering the opportunity to serve as the primary nurse in a preschool, elementary, or middle school health room. With two openings available and a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (32.5 hours per week), this role is perfect for skilled RNs who thrive in independent and dynamic settings.

As the sole nurse in the building, you’ll be at the center of delivering individualized care and emergency response while collaborating with an advisory team as needed. This critical role supports students’ well-being and contributes to a safe, nurturing environment throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

• Active NJ RN or CSN license required
• Previous school nurse experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Genesis charting system is highly valued
• Confident working independently with remote advisory support
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Administer daily medications and treatments as prescribed
• Deliver care for illness, injuries, and chronic health conditions
• Maintain accurate health records and manage documentation using Genesis charting
• Provide health education and promote wellness among students and staff
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement care protocols
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
