A registered nurse (RN) opportunity is available to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a high school student in the Vancouver, WA area, including nearby cities. This travel assignment offers a consistent school schedule from Monday through Wednesday and Friday, with bus pickup at 7:59 a.m. and drop-off at 4:15 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, individualized nursing care throughout the school day.
  • Manage medication administration according to prescribed orders.
  • Perform and monitor G-tube feedings with necessary precautions.
  • Conduct catheterizations as required.
  • Safely operate and assist with Hoyer lifts for student mobility.
  • Provide oral and nasal suctioning to maintain airway clearance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and student health status.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support the student’s health and educational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license.
  • Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Proven skills in medication management, G-tube feeding, catheterizations, use of Hoyer lifts, and suctioning techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional communication with school personnel.
  • Experience with 1:1 nursing care is highly desirable.

Location and Schedule:

  • Based in Vancouver, WA, with opportunities in surrounding areas.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday school days.
  • Transportation via bus, with pickup at 7:59 a.m. and drop off at 4:15 p.m.
