Travel School Registered Nurse | Waltham, Massachusetts

Registered Nurse position available for a unique school-based travel assignment in Waltham, MA, supporting a student with diabetes care. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN with a Massachusetts license seeking a role that combines in-home care with school support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care to a 9-year-old student with diabetes
• Begin each day at the student’s home, accompany them on the bus to school, spend the school day attending to their health needs, and return on the bus to the home in the afternoon
• Monitor and manage diabetes care including medication administration, blood sugar checks, and emergency protocols
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with school staff and guardians
• Adapt to a dynamic schedule with school hours approximately 8:00 AM to 3:40 PM, Monday through Friday, subject to transportation changes

Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license (LPN and CNA applications will not be considered)
• Minimum experience in school nursing or pediatric chronic care, particularly diabetes management
• Ability to provide compassionate, attentive one-on-one care throughout the day
• Comfortable with travel between locations in Waltham, Lexington, and Watertown

• Student resides in homes located in Waltham and Watertown, with the school day at a building in Lexington, MA
