School Registered Nurse Openings – New Windsor, Wappingers Falls & Hyde Park, NY Areas

A school-based program in the New Windsor, Wappingers Falls, and Hyde Park areas is seeking several Registered Nurses for the upcoming assignment term. These positions are ideal for RNs who are organized, dependable, and comfortable supporting students across different age groups and care needs.

The nurse will be responsible for managing student caseloads, assisting with annual life plan meetings, completing medication follow-ups with staff, and maintaining accurate medication book documentation. Candidates should be confident working independently while also collaborating closely with school and program staff.

Position Details:

• Location: New Windsor, NY / Wappingers Falls, NY / Hyde Park, NY areas
• Start Date: July 6, 2026
• End Date: June 26, 2027
• License Required: Registered Nurse
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• General hours: 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM
• Open Positions: Itinerant & Day Habilitation

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage caseloads for students/participants of different ages
• Attend and support annual life plan meetings
• Complete medication pour follow-ups with staff
• Maintain accurate medication book documentation
• Communicate with staff, families, and school/program teams as needed
• Follow district and healthcare documentation protocols

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license in NY or Multi-State (Compact) license
• Experience in school-based nursing, residential care, day habilitation, or pediatric/adolescent care preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple caseloads
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently across assigned settings
