School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Warwick, Rhode Island

Key Requirements:

• Hold a current RN license or be a Certified School Nurse (CSN)
• Previous experience in a school environment or pediatric setting preferred
• Skilled at medication administration and health assessments
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with students and staff
• Ability to maintain accurate health records and ensure strict confidentiality
• CPR and First Aid certification required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day health services for students feeling unwell or requiring medical attention
• Process health referrals and manage urgent care situations with confidence
• Administer prescribed medications following school policies and healthcare regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nurse’s office
• Collaborate with school staff to support students’ individual health needs
• Monitor and report communicable diseases or health concerns as needed
• Offer health education and guidance for students, families, and staff
