School Registered Nurse (RN) in Warwick, RI

This role offers a meaningful blend of clinical expertise and compassionate care in an educational setting near Warwick, RI. As a key part of this student's school experience, you’ll provide essential health support throughout the day—from bus rides and in-class care, to monitoring and responding to their medical needs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Experience with pediatric nursing, especially 1:1 care, preferred
• Comfortable with ventilation, G-tube feeds, and addressing skin integrity concerns
• Understanding of care protocols for students with fragile bones
• Ability to support non-verbal communication (student uses an iPad)
• Reliable, empathetic, and attentive to detail
• Previous school nursing or similar experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany student to and from school on the bus, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Deliver hands-on nursing care including vent management and G-tube feeding
• Monitor and document student’s health status, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with school staff, educators, and family to support student’s daily participation
• Act as an advocate for the student's well-being, helping facilitate communication as needed
• Provide calm, reassuring presence and quickly respond to health concerns or emergencies

This contract position is offered on a W-2 basis with weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and access to a 401k program.
