Registered Nurse School Setting in Warwick, RI

Make a meaningful impact in the school setting by supporting an individual student as a Registered Nurse. This contract position requires commitment two days per week—Wednesdays and Fridays, from 7:30am to 2:00pm. As a dedicated 1:1 nurse, you’ll provide expert medical oversight, facilitate inclusion in classroom and community activities, and offer critical care in urgent situations.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• School nursing experience preferred, but not necessary
• Proven ability to respond swiftly and effectively in emergencies, especially seizure management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing oversight for a student throughout the school day and during community outings or work-based experiences
• Administer prescribed treatments and provide regular health monitoring according to the student’s care plan
• Remain alert to potential seizure activity and deliver appropriate emergency care if needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing activities and interactions
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student safety and inclusion both in class and outside the school building
