A contract position is open for an RN to work part-time during the 2024 summer session, supporting students in early childhood through 8th grade. This role, based near Washington, DC, offers various caseloads and the possibility to extend beyond the summer term. Key Qualifications:

  • Active and valid Connecticut RN license
  • Previous experience in schools, preferably with Special Education
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to various student needs across different grade levels
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and effective care

Primary Duties:

  • Deliver nursing care and health services to students as needed
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student well-being
  • Participate in the development and implementation of health plans, especially for students in Special Education programs
  • Monitor and respond to health emergencies or concerns throughout the school day
  • Maintain up-to-date health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations
