Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year experience as a School Nurse or similar pediatric/acute care setting
- Comfort and proficiency caring for medically fragile students, including those requiring wheelchair support, diapering/changing, diabetes management, and seizure precautions
- Compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Provide nursing care for elementary school students during the ESY period (July 18 – June 17), with the possibility of continuing into the next school year
- Deliver direct medical attention during Monday–Thursday afternoons (2pm–6pm) and extended hours on Fridays for field trips (9am–6pm)
- Administer medications, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies as they arise
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, and communications
