School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Waterflow, New Mexico

Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Registered Nurse serving a diverse caseload across multiple school campuses in the Waterflow, NM area. In this impactful position, you’ll work with approximately 659 students spanning two high schools and one elementary school. Your ability to adapt, collaborate, and lead will be valued as you travel between sites and provide essential healthcare support throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New Mexico (or eligibility for licensure)
• Recent experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical skills
• Capable of traveling between multiple campuses efficiently
• Leadership experience and excellent communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to students by conducting assessments, administering medications, and addressing health concerns as they arise
• Supervise and support three health aides, ensuring consistent implementation of health protocols and best practices
• Collaborate closely with Special Education and crisis response teams to support student well-being
• Maintain accurate and compliant health records across all assigned campuses
• Participate in the development and execution of individualized healthcare and emergency plans for students
• Serve as a health resource and advocate for students, staff, and families

Details:

• Contract position through May 27, 2027
• 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours/day)
• School start times: 7:30 AM (elementary), 8:00 AM (secondary); school day ends at 4:00 PM
