A part-time nursing opportunity is available supporting a K-12 school environment in Waterloo, WI. This position involves providing dedicated one-on-one care for a student with medically complex needs. The role is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for the remainder of the school year, with summer hours potentially offered. There is potential to increase hours as circumstances improve. This contract supports a W-2 status and does not require bus riding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care tailored to one student’s health needs during school hours.
- Monitor and manage medical conditions according to established healthcare plans.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, healthcare providers, and family members to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school and healthcare protocols.
- Provide health education and support to the student as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred.
- Ability to manage medically complex cases with professionalism and compassion.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable and flexible to accommodate potential increases in hours.
