Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Experience in school health settings or as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) preferred
- Additionally seeking candidates with a Special Education Teacher certification
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with diverse student populations, including those with special medical and educational needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care to students, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response
- Support individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams
- Contribute to health education initiatives and promote wellness practices school-wide
- Maintain detailed health records in compliance with state and district policies
- Serve as a health resource for staff, students, and families, participating in case conferences as needed
