School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Waukegan, Illinois

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential mandatory
• Experience in a school setting highly valued
• Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and support other nursing professionals
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret medical documentation for educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and provide guidance to dedicated RNs in four separate school buildings
• Serve as a resource and support for building-based nursing staff
• Attend and contribute to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
• Conduct thorough medical reviews for student IEPs
• Complete initial and re-evaluation assessments as needed (no ongoing student caseload)
• Ensure compliance with school health requirements and best practices
