Your ability to prioritize, respond rapidly to high-alert scenarios, and establish a clear line of action will be essential in maintaining student well-being. The role involves frequent multitasking and flexibility as you navigate daily health concerns within the school community.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current, active RN license in the state of Illinois.
• Previous experience working as a school nurse, including responsiveness to emergencies.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, with the ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment.
• Capacity to work independently while communicating effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• Up-to-date certifications and training in school health practices are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and first aid to students and staff.
• Respond swiftly to high-priority medical situations, exercising sound judgement.
• Manage individualized healthcare plans and administer medications as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate health updates as needed.
• Collaborate with educators and support personnel to foster a healthy school environment.
