Registered Nurse School Setting in Webster, NY

Step into a rewarding role serving middle school students during the 2026–2027 academic year as a full-time Registered Nurse. In this long-term substitute position, you’ll play a vital part in supporting student health and well-being throughout the school year from August 24, 2026, to June 24, 2027. Working Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM–2:30 PM, you’ll be at the heart of the school community, ensuring every student has access to high-quality healthcare in a safe, nurturing environment.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Current New York Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (required)
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or related fields is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and healthcare providers
• Strong organizational abilities and accurate record-keeping
• Solid clinical assessment and problem-solving skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day healthcare support for middle school students, addressing both routine and urgent health concerns
• Evaluate students for illness or injury and determine appropriate care and next steps
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician and school guidelines
• Maintain and update individual student health records in compliance with confidentiality and district policies
• Serve as a resource and advocate for healthy habits, disease prevention, and student well-being
• Deliver rapid response during emergencies, implementing protocols to safeguard students
