Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support students’ on-the-job learning experiences in the Nurse Assisting program
• Help develop meaningful, valid clinical experiences and instruction schedules for trainees
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to coordinate all aspects of clinical learning
• Supervise students in a clinical setting with an 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio
• Communicate regularly with participating agency personnel regarding clinical experience
• Provide evaluation, feedback, and guidance on student progress during clinical experiences
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned by the Nurse Aide Teacher

Qualifications Desired:

• Current New York State RN license
• Eligible for or in possession of the School Nurse Civil Service title
• Recent experience in long-term care or nursing home settings
• Skillful in working with high school students and fostering their growth in healthcare careers
