Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Michigan (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Empathy, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students for injuries, illnesses, and chronic health conditions
• Administer medications in accordance with school policies
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
• Collaborate with educational staff to create individualized health care plans
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide necessary interventions
• Promote health education and preventive care within the school community
• Facilitate communication between families, school teams, and healthcare providers
• Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations
