This full-time contract assignment runs from December 14, 2026, through March 15, 2027, with a potential for extension. You'll thrive supporting both a high school and an elementary school—providing vital care, advocacy, and expertise for students and staff alike.
Bring your skills, compassion, and commitment to two engaging educational settings:
- High School: Monday–Wednesday, 7:00 am–2:30 pm
- Elementary School: Thursday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing services to students in both school health offices.
- Support student health and wellness, managing acute and chronic conditions with diligence and care.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing nursing expertise for special needs students.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and compliance with school health policies.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) as a Certified School Nurse (required—other RN or LPN credentials will not be considered).
- School nursing experience preferred—especially in both elementary and high school settings.
- Ability to work the school-scheduled hours consistently for the duration of the assignment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered approach.
