Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license required
- Experience in school settings preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong assessment and triage skills
- Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
- Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities
- Approachable, caring attitude with a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents
Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage in absence of the regular school nurse or health room technician
- Administer first aid and routine medical care
- Dispense prescribed medications according to school policy
- Manage and document incidents, treatment, and student visits accurately
- Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe, healthy environment
- Educate students on wellness, hygiene, and health topics as needed
